These days GONZO247 maintains a street, urban and graffiti art gallery, Aerosol Warfare; practices his own artwork and supports other art organizations and artists.  He has also found a love for teaching his medium through a local program that offers street and urban art workshops & classes for kids and colleges.  Recently he taught at Art League Houston, Rice University, Kipp Academy, Eastwood Academy and other institutions.

Once again, PR!MO kills it on the edit! Much love to Z-Trip for staying true to the history. Z-Trip stopped by H-town. We were able to kick it old school. Peep the vid.

“Pieced Together” All Texas Graffiti Art Show

July 14th, 2009

Pieced Together All Texas Graffiti Show

Opening Reception

Saturday, August 15th, 2009

7pm to 11pm

Aerosol Warfare Gallery has the privilege to host the final leg of Texas’ first traveling graffiti art exhibition. “Pieced Together” All Texas Graffiti Art Show began its journey last year in Austin, TX when graffiti pioneer (and curator), SLOKE, pulled together some top aerosol artists from major cities in Texas and ‘pieced together’ the exhibition. Since then, this art show has traveled to cities such as Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Phoenix and San Francisco.  Houston is the final destination and we are ready to throw a Texas Size Ho-Down to celebrate the successful run of an exhibition that the LA Weekly describes as a “hybridized style existing in this stylistic space between two art worlds”!

Artists Include: Austin – Sloke, Wake, Spain & Mez; San Antonio – Enks, Duo & Supher; Houston – Coler, Weah, Sode, & GONZO247; Dallas – Soner & Lawgic; El Paso – Grave, Myker & Durock; The Valley – Dmise & News.

CKCStart Street and Urban Arts & Graffiti Research Lab collaborate to give you a chance to “Get Up” across from Aerosol Warfare. Get there early for a couple of workshops on L.A.S.E.R. TAG and Get Up once the sun goes down.  Audio Entertainment provided by Mr. Bristle and Divine Wind with other Dj’s to be announced. Complimentary refreshments provided by our generous sponsors: Sweet Leaf Tea & Red Bull. Adult beverages provided by Silver Eagle Distributors.  This event is Free, open to the public and is family friendly.

All artwork will be on display at Aerosol Warfare Gallery & Boutique, opening August 15th, 2009 through September 12th, 2009.

“Blow Up Houston” Exhibition

June 23rd, 2009

Aerosol Warfare Gallery "Blow Up Houston" Exhibition

Opening Reception

Friday, June 26th, 2009

7pm to 11pm

Aerosol Warfare has teamed up with toy designer Jamungo to bring you a unique exhibition featuring customized urban vinyl toys. Through a “first-come – first-served” open call, 50 “Blow Up Dolls” were obtained by local artists, photographers, graphic designers, and other creative types with the mission of customizing their dolls and bringing them to life! The result? A dynamic exhibition: “Blow Up Houston”!

At the center of it all lies Jamungo’s “Blow Up Dolls” which come in two varieties: NADE (who has a grenade as a head) and BUD (who’s head is an old school bomb with a fuse and match stick). These toys are 9” tall and made of rotocast vinyl, so they are light, hollow and ready for DYI!

All artwork will be on display at Aerosol Warfare Gallery & Boutique, opening Friday, June 26th, on display through July 31st.

Walk n Roll

January 15th, 2009

So we were @ Aerosol Warfare Gallery last night working on a video project.. when we got a visit from a neighborhood icon/dancing machine. She asked for a dollar and a prayer…. let just say she was healed & walked (for 2 minutes).

Houston’s Old Schooler, LOVE SUN, dropped by the gallery and caught some footage. He was kind enough to edit this AW Promo. We dig it!
